Robert has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1979. A graduate in Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh, he has worked throughout his career in the Financial Services/Insurance Broking sector.

Robert was a founding partner of Carlyle Insurance and Financial Services in 1986 and has seen a number of changes over the years, culminating in our rebranding to Cairn Independent Ltd in 2009.

​

As Managing Director of the company, he has a high degree of focus on meeting our regulatory obligations as well as ensuring the well being of our clients and our team.

​

Robert enjoys spending time with his family and walking their two dogs, Marley (Black Labrador) and Bree (Parsons Terrier). He also enjoys reading, music across a number of genres and street food.
